AIDA Cruises, a German cruise company, has announced plans to modernize three ships in its fleet as part of an extensive upgrade program. Parent company Carnival Corporation confirmed the modernization of AIDAdiva, AIDAbella, and AIDAluna, with each ship set to undergo significant changes to enhance guest experience. The upgrades will include an increase in the number of suites and other guest areas, a complete redecoration of all staterooms, and the upgrading of technical equipment and systems. AIDAdiva will be the first ship to undergo the modernization in the spring of 2025, followed by AIDAbella and AIDAluna in the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026, respectively.
The extensive modernization program aims to improve the overall guest experience on the AIDA Cruises fleet. The upgrades will not only enhance the guest areas but also improve the technical equipment and systems on board. AIDAdiva will be the first ship to undergo the six-week dry dock overhaul in 2025, followed by AIDAbella and AIDAluna in subsequent years. The program is part of AIDA Cruises’ commitment to providing high-quality and modern cruise experiences to its passengers.
