The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet has approved the Industrial Policy 2023-27 in a recent meeting at the Secretariat. This decision has given rise to the Andhra Pradesh Inland Waterways Authority and the Amalapuram Urban Development Authority, which will have jurisdiction over 120 villages and 11 Mandale throughout an area of over 897 square kilometers. This development is set to benefit local industry and the economic growth of the region.
By approving the Industrial Policy 2023-27, the state government aims to position Andhra Pradesh as one of the top states in India for industrial development. The government also hopes to create a more job-friendly environment throughout the state. This policy, coupled with the establishment of the Andhra Pradesh Inland Waterways Authority and the Amalapuram Urban Development Authority, is expected to attract private industry to the state and increase economic growth across the region.
