Azimut, a leader in yacht innovation, has announced groundbreaking collaborations with Google Cloud and Reply to introduce an advanced onboard home automation system. The partnership aims to revolutionize smart boat management and redefine life on board. The Magellano 60, known for its long voyages powered by Eni Sustainable Mobility’s biodiesel fuel, will pioneer the integration of Google Cloud’s artificial intelligence and Reply’s expertise. The collaboration has resulted in a proprietary app that combines boat management and smart home functions, allowing users to interact with their yacht through voice commands or remote access. The beta version of the app, installed on the Magellano 60 for testing, controls entertainment, lighting, climate systems, appliances, and provides real-time data on water and fuel consumption. Security cameras can also be integrated for remote monitoring. Azimut’s commitment to merging technology with beauty and enhancing the yacht lifestyle is evident in these collaborations.
Fabio Fregi, Country Manager Italy at Google Cloud, expresses excitement about supporting Azimut’s digital transformation and setting new innovation standards in the industry. Tatiana Rizzante, CEO of Reply, notes the challenge of fusing the digital world with physical engineering and highlights the app’s potential for further evolution. Azimut is building an advanced conversational intelligence system that combines the Internet of Things (IoT) with AI, enabling specific domain queries like technical manuals on board. These collaborations demonstrate Azimut’s dedication to leveraging technology to enhance the yacht experience and establish new benchmarks in the maritime realm.
