Integrated Wind Solutions has entered into shipbuilding contracts for the construction of two Walk-to-Work Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOV) with China Merchants Industry Holdings.

The contract with the Chinese shipbuilder was secured by Integrated Wind Solutions through its wholly owned subsidiary IWS Fleet.

Upon delivery in the second quarter of 2025, IWS will have a fleet of six identical Skywalker-class vessels specifically designed to support commissioning work during the construction of wind farms and to support operations and maintenance during the lifecycle of offshore wind farms with solid ground and floating.

“We are pleased to order two more CSOVs and expand our fleet to six identical sister ships. Our fleet will be uniquely positioned for a strong and growing offshore wind market with the first vessel to commence charter for the Dogger Bank offshore wind farm later this year. We see growing interest in our vessels and the integrated services that IWS offers through its subsidiary IWS Services A/S,” said Lars-Henrik Røren, CEO of Integrated Wind Solutions.

These hybrid-powered vessels will be among the first vessels in the industry to be able to operate with zero emissions, designed by Kongsberg Maritime and equipped with a fully compensated gangway and a latest generation 3D crane.

IWS has also confirmed options for two additional Skywalker-class CSOVs from China Merchants Industry.
