French shipping company CMA CGM has made a bid to take over Lebanon’s postal services, according to Johnny Corm, the country’s acting minister for telecommunications.
The container line, run by Rodolphe Saade, appears to be the only company that has submitted a bid to acquire the nation’s postal services contract. The offer was made by CMA CGM’s 100% subsidiary, Colis Privé.
In the absence of other offers, Johnny Corm said in a press conference that the Lebanese government will accept CMA CGM’s offer if it meets the conditions.
