Columbia Shipmanagement (CSM) has announced its expansion into Indonesia with the establishment of CSM Indonesia. The aim of this expansion is to provide first-class manning solutions directly in Indonesia and its surrounding regions. By diversifying the crew pool on Columbia managed vessels and utilizing the vast personnel resources in Indonesia, the company hopes to further its commitment and investment in its people. The Indonesian maritime sector has seen recent investments and developments, with the commercial fleet doubling in size since 2005. This growth indicates an increasing offshore crewing supply, which Columbia aims to utilize with the creation of CSM Indonesia.
Mark O’Neil, President and CEO of Columbia Group, expressed excitement about establishing the CSM brand in Indonesia and investing in local staff who share their vision. The Columbia Group values investing in its people and believes that providing the best level of quality and welfare for their crew through their network of manning agencies has numerous benefits. The launch of CSM Indonesia is eagerly anticipated.
