French boatbuilder Sillinger recently delivered a new rigid inflatable boat (RIB) to the French Directorate General for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture (DGAMPA). The RIB has a deep V aluminium hull, a length of 9.5 meters, and can accommodate up to 17 people, including crew. It is equipped with a Furuno radar and will be used by DGAMPA for coastal patrols.
The handover of the RIB to DGAMPA demonstrates Sillinger’s commitment to providing high-quality vessels for maritime operations. The boat’s design and features make it suitable for coastal patrols and other activities related to maritime affairs, fisheries, and aquaculture. With the addition of this new RIB, DGAMPA will be able to enhance its operational capabilities for monitoring and enforcement activities along the French coastline.
Sillinger’s expertise in boatbuilding and the advanced technology incorporated into the RIB, such as the Furuno radar, will contribute to the effectiveness of DGAMPA’s coastal patrols. This collaboration between Sillinger and DGAMPA reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen maritime security and surveillance in French waters, ultimately contributing to the safety and protection of marine resources and ecosystems.
