DNV has appointed Anette Roll Richardsen as Director of its Cyber ​​Security business in Norway.

DNV said Roll Richardsen will lead a growing team of IT and operational technology security professionals as the company grows rapidly to protect its customers from emerging cyber risks to critical infrastructure.

“Rated by SC Media among Europe’s 50 Most Influential Women in Cybersecurity, Roll Richardsen has a track record of serving on leading expert teams protecting society from cyber threats. She comes to DNV from Norway-based Watchcom Security Group, where she has served as CEO for the past five years,” said DNV.

The maritime classification firm said Roll Richardsen will lead a fast-growing business unit focused on supporting companies in Nordic industrial sectors – including shipping, energy and manufacturing – to identify their cyber vulnerabilities, develop effective countermeasures and demonstrate their security posture to stakeholders.

In November 2021, DNV merged with Applied Risk, an industrial cybersecurity company based in Amsterdam. DNV also announced in February 2023 a public tender offer to acquire all shares and stock options in Helsinki-based cybersecurity services company Nixu.

Anette Roll Richardsen is President of Women in Cyber ​​Security (WiCyS) Norway and Treasurer of the Norwegian chapter of the IT association ISACA. She has over 20 years of cybersecurity and finance experience.
