Singapore-based shipping company Eastern Pacific Shipping has held a naming ceremony for its new LPG-fuelled gas carrier, the Logan Explorer. The vessel, which was built by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, will be chartered to Trafigura. The Logan Explorer is an 86,000 m3 VLGC (Very Large Gas Carrier) and is capable of running on both LPG and conventional bunkers. Eastern Pacific Shipping stated that the use of LPG as fuel will lower the overall carbon footprint of the vessel and support the industry’s energy transition. The company congratulated all the teams involved in the successful naming ceremony and expressed excitement for the vessel’s delivery.
