The Great Eastern Shipping Co Ltd, India’s largest private maritime transport service by fleet size and revenue, said its net profit rose 282 percent to Rs Previous year.

The company’s operating revenue rose 58.92 percent to Rs.1,455.98 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23 from Rs.916.17 crore a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.

In FY23, the company’s total net profit increased by 308.94 per cent to Rs.2,575.01 crore from Rs.629.68 crore in the previous year.

Operating revenue for the full year increased by 62.17 per cent to Rs.5,690.46 crore compared to Rs.3,508.94 crore last year.

The board declared an interim dividend, the fourth for the year, of Rs. 9 per share at a meeting on Friday, an outflow of 128.49 crore.

This brings the total dividend declared for the year to Rs.28.80 per share resulting in an outflow of Rs.411.16 crore.

The Board of Directors has decided that there will be no final dividend for the fiscal year ending March 2023.
