Deendayal Port Authority in Kandla marked World Environment Day with a focus on land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience in alignment with the UN Decade of Ecosystems (2021-2030). The event took place at the Officers Club in Gopalpuri and saw the participation of high-ranking officials including Shri Nandeesh Shukla and Shri V. Raveendra Reddy. Representatives from various organizations such as the Gandhidham Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gandhidham Municipality, KLTTA Rotary Club, CISF, and NGOs came together to celebrate and discuss environmental conservation.

As part of the celebrations, Deendayal Port Authority, along with AAS Foundation, CISF unit DPA Kandla, and Rotary Club, organized a tree-planting drive at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Convention Centre in Gandhidham, followed by a visit to the Rotary Forest area. The event emphasized the importance of sustainable practices in our daily lives beyond just World Environment Day, with a commitment to making a positive impact for future generations.
