The 39 m long ferries, built at Indonesia’s PT Cahaya Samudra Shipyard, can carry 312 passengers at speeds of up to 32 knots. The main deck accommodates all 312 passengers in air-conditioned comfort, while each ship’s design also offers large baggage and hold areas and five accessible bathrooms.
Powered by two MTU 16V2000 M72s, each producing 1930 hp at 2250 rpm, the ferries have an operating speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 32 knots.
Majestic Fast Ferry recently finalized deals selling 11 Generation 1 Incat Crowther ferries – all compliant with domestic regulatory requirements in each market – to a range of European, Middle Eastern, South Pacific and Asian operators.
A total of nine more Incat crowdher vessels will be built at PT Cahaya Samudra, including the three new 42 meter vessels. Majestic Glory and Majestic Honor, the fourth and fifth 39-meter Generation 2 ferries, will be completed and delivered shortly.
