APSEZ Records 11% Growth in Yearly Cargo Volume

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) reported an 11% year-on-year increase in cargo volumes for September 2025, emphasizing strong growth in its logistics and port operations. Rail logistics volumes reached 60,640 TEUs, a rise of 22% YoY, while cargo under the General-Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) amounted to 1.63 MMT.

In the first half of FY26, APSEZ set a record by handling 244.2 MMT of cargo, reflecting an 11% growth from the prior year. Container volumes surged by 20% YoY, solidifying the company’s role in India’s expanding trade ecosystem. Rail logistics also saw impressive growth, with volumes increasing by 15% to 358,406 TEUs, and GPWIS cargo grew by 3% YoY to 10.98 MMT.

In Q1 FY26, APSEZ’s consolidated net profit rose 6.5% to ₹3,314.6 crore, up from ₹3,112.8 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations soared 31.2% YoY to ₹9,126.1 crore, driven by robust growth across its business segments.

As part of the diversified Adani Group, APSEZ has evolved from a port operator to an integrated transport and logistics provider, managing a network of 15 ports across India, accounting for nearly 28% of the country’s total port volumes. With its continued growth in port operations and hinterland connectivity, APSEZ maintains a strong leadership position in India’s maritime logistics sector.
