Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) celebrated a significant milestone with the arrival of the MV SITC ZHI at its container terminal during the morning tide. This vessel, measuring 171.90 metres in length and with a draft of 9.20 metres, is the deepest-draft container ship ever handled at the port since its establishment.
This achievement highlights HDC’s enhanced marine capabilities and operational efficiency, enabling it to accommodate larger container vessels. This positions HDC as a crucial gateway for global trade.
The successful berthing of MV SITC ZHI is a testament to the expertise and dedication of HDC’s Marine Department and operational teams, whose skills made this accomplishment possible.
Continuing its commitment to infrastructure development, HDC is investing in upgrades to meet the increasing demands of international maritime trade, further solidifying its role as a key hub in India’s logistics and supply chain network.
