High-level interagency consultations were held in New Delhi, led by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, and Nikolai Patrushev, aide to the Russian President and Chairman of Russia’s Maritime Board.
The talks reinforced the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia, focusing on mutual trust and a shared vision for economic and strategic collaboration. Key discussion areas included shipbuilding, port development, maritime logistics, Arctic operations, and scientific cooperation.
Both nations expressed satisfaction with the discussions and reiterated their commitment to enhance cooperation across these sectors.
The meeting concluded with a mutual resolve to establish a resilient and sustainable maritime partnership that aims to strengthen connectivity and promote long-term prosperity for both countries.
