In a groundbreaking initiative for India’s maritime sector, the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vadhvan Port Private Ltd. (VPPL) and TUTR Hyperloop Pvt. Ltd. This collaboration aims to explore employing Hyperloop technology for high-speed cargo transport.

The MoU was formalized in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with JNPA and VPPL Chairperson Unmesh Sharad Wagh and other senior officials.

This partnership seeks to transform port-led logistics by significantly reducing cargo transit times, enhancing turnaround efficiency, and minimizing emissions. Hyperloop technology is viewed as a forward-looking solution that could establish India as a leader in sustainable logistics.
