Kochi’s port in the Kerala-Konkan Basin is set to become a key support base for offshore oil exploration, following a formal agreement between Oil India and the Cochin Port Authority. The planned facility will serve as a high-efficiency logistics center, enhancing transportation, storage, and refueling for offshore operations. It will include a dedicated warehouse, dry bulk handling, and an exclusive jetty, equipped with essential utilities like potable water and shore electricity.
