Fisheries and Ports Minister Nitesh Rane has instructed officials to implement a single-window system aimed at streamlining the approval process for various projects under the Maharashtra Maritime Board. Currently, these projects require clearances from multiple departments, including environmental and forestry agencies.
During a review meeting at Mantralaya, Rane highlighted the need for a more efficient mechanism akin to the Maitri initiative in the Industries Department to expedite approvals.
Additionally, the Minister urged officials to finalize rental rates for stalls on maritime board premises and to expedite the installation of hoardings, setting a completion target for November. He emphasized the importance of coordinating closely with the Environment Department to ensure timely approvals for all ongoing projects.
