Nagarro and Oceanly have launched a maritime intelligence platform aimed at transforming raw vessel data into real-time, actionable insights for both crews and shore teams. A demonstration of this innovative platform is set to take place at the upcoming World Maritime Forum in Copenhagen.
The platform leverages Oceanly’s operational data from over 600 vessels, integrated with Nagarro’s AI and digital engineering capabilities. It offers features such as automated diagnostics, anomaly detection, voyage recommendations, and emissions insights that aid in compliance with IMO and EU ETS regulations.
Designed to help operators move beyond traditional dashboards and manual analyses, the system generates AI-driven alerts and concise summaries. This functionality enhances the speed of responses regarding flow-meter faults, voyage planning, fuel optimization, maintenance, and procurement. According to the partners, the tool can facilitate decision-making up to 40% faster, potentially reduce fuel costs by 25%, and improve performance visibility by more than 30%.
Frederik Lerche-Tornoe, CEO of Oceanly, emphasized that while maritime teams produce vast amounts of operational data daily, much of it lacks practical applicability. He believes this new platform effectively merges maritime expertise with AI to enhance performance, reduce fuel expenses, and promote sustainable operations.
