Anglo-Eastern Univan Group has launched a digital platform designed to aid charterers and commercial operators in addressing key maritime challenges, including decarbonisation, fleet performance, and fuel cost management. The Sustainability and Performance Services (SAPS) platform leverages artificial intelligence and real-time data to enhance operational decision-making related to fuel consumption and route selection. Its service offerings encompass crew training, vessel performance tracking, inspections, and compliance audits, all aimed at optimizing maritime operations.

The SAPS platform provides significant benefits, such as real-time voyage optimization that factors in weather conditions and vessel performance. It also includes predictive fuel consumption modeling, offering tailored recommendations based on various scenarios. Additionally, the platform supports compliance with international maritime regulations, including the EU Emissions Trading System and the Carbon Intensity Indicator, facilitating effective communication between onboard and shoreside teams.

Since its testing phase from 2023 to 2025, SAPS has monitored over 800 vessels and nearly 46,000 voyages, resulting in substantial environmental and financial benefits. The initiative has reportedly led to a reduction of over 700,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions and fuel savings of more than 225,000 metric tons, translating to estimated cost savings of around $135 million. This platform exemplifies Anglo-Eastern’s commitment to innovation and sustainable shipping practices.
