The I-SEAMORE project, co-funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe program, has successfully concluded after two and a half years of development. It delivered an integrated maritime surveillance platform that enhances situational awareness for European Maritime Authorities through AI, Big Data fusion, and multi-asset orchestration. The project culminated with a final demonstration in Tróia, Portugal, showcasing the platform’s capabilities in real-world scenarios, including drug smuggling and illegal immigration.
The two-day event featured a live demonstration at the CEOM, highlighting the platform’s operational readiness. Stakeholders gathered to provide feedback, ensuring the outcomes align with real-world needs. A conference in Setúbal included insights from experts, such as Marco Nardella from FRONTEX, and discussions on commercialization strategies facilitated by INI-Novation.
Post-event, the project continues to share its results, with partner TNO presenting at the Blue Mission AA Weekly Hour. Additionally, INI-Novation published a White Paper detailing the commercialization strategy for the I-SEAMORE ecosystem, addressing market potential and ethical considerations essential for the platform’s uptake within the EU.
