The Magenta Project has launched the 2×25 global survey, a significant initiative aimed at evaluating equity and inclusion in sailing and the marine industry. This survey builds on the 2019 Women in Sailing Strategic Review, which revealed that 59% of women experienced discrimination and 80% identified gender imbalance as an issue. The 2×25 survey expands its focus to include race, ableism, and age, seeking to identify progress and ongoing barriers within the sport.

Running from July to September 2025, the findings will be presented at the World Sailing AGM in November 2025 and publicly launched at METSTRADE and the Yacht Racing Forum. The initiative, supported by 11th Hour Racing and World Sailing, aims to gather over 4,500 responses, surpassing the previous survey’s participation. The survey is available in multiple languages and is open to all stakeholders in the sailing community.
