BRIX Marine recently unveiled the Olohana, a 12.5-meter RHIB specifically designed and constructed for Hawaii Nautical, a prominent ocean experience provider in Hawaii. The RHIB features a hull design by Naiad and is equipped with triple Yamaha F300 outboard engines, making it suitable for a variety of activities in different marine conditions. One of the standout features of the Olohana is its innovative boarding design, which includes a unique “swim club” side door in the collar system. This door has an aluminum structure that hinges at the bottom, extending the side decks outboard, with a telescoping swim ladder that deploys close to the waterline.
In addition to its cutting-edge design, the Olohana boasts custom finishes tailored to meet Hawaii Nautical’s operational needs. These finishes include carefully selected upholstery, canvas, vinyl, and deck materials, as well as black rub rails, web gates, updated hatches, and a custom collar color. Doug Ewalt, the steward of Hawaii Nautical, expressed his satisfaction with the vessel, noting its impressive appearance and performance on the water. Ewalt praised the Olohana for its easy steering at high speeds, emphasizing his excitement to see the vessel in action in Hawaii.
Overall, the collaboration between BRIX and Naiad has resulted in a top-of-the-line vessel that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal. The Olohana’s unique features, such as the “swim club” side door and custom finishes, set it apart in the marine industry. With its ability to handle various marine activities and conditions, the Olohana is poised to enhance the ocean experiences offered by Hawaii Nautical. Ewalt’s positive feedback on the vessel’s performance further underscores its potential as a valuable addition to Hawaii Nautical’s fleet, promising unforgettable experiences for passengers.
