Sallaum Lines has welcomed its latest Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC), the MV Ocean Explorer, into its Ocean Class fleet. This addition marks a significant step in the company’s fleet expansion and commitment to sustainable maritime operations.
Mr. Hasan Sallaum, Managing Director of Sallaum Lines, expressed pride in the vessel’s delivery, emphasizing its role in promoting a sustainable future for maritime transport. He highlighted the company’s investment in cleaner technologies to provide efficient and environmentally responsible shipping solutions worldwide.
The MV Ocean Explorer meets high international environmental standards and incorporates advanced LNG dual-fuel propulsion systems, significantly reducing CO₂, NOx, SOx, and particulate emissions. This technological innovation aligns with Sallaum Lines’ goal of decarbonizing the RoRo shipping sector.
Constructed by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd., the vessel measures 199.9 meters in length and 38 meters in breadth. It can accommodate up to 7,500 car equivalent units (CEU) across 13 decks, powered by an LNG fuel system with a capacity of 3,536.21 cubic meters.
