In Doha, Qatar, the Maritime Transport Affairs of the Ministry of Transport has called on all licensed maritime entities to uphold principles of fairness and transparency in their service delivery. This statement emphasizes the importance of compliance with existing maritime regulations, specifically Maritime Law No. 15 of 1980, Law No. 4 of 2004, which governs navigational agencies, and Law No. 12 of 2012, which regulates maritime shipping intermediaries.

The Ministry has issued a warning against imposing any additional charges for services, particularly in light of the current extraordinary circumstances. It maintains that these conditions should not be used as a justification for surcharges, ensuring that consumers are treated equitably.
