Ocean Network Express (ONE) has achieved a significant milestone in the container shipping industry with its vessel, ONE Innovation, which has set a new world record by loading 22,233 TEU—the largest amount ever recorded on a containership. This impressive feat surpasses the previous record of 22,000 TEU, achieved by the same vessel during a port visit in Singapore in December 2023.

The ONE Innovation, delivered in 2023, is the first of six 24,000 TEU-class “Megamax” vessels in ONE’s fleet. Constructed by Japan Marine United Corporation’s Kure Shipyard, this 400-meter-long ship boasts a maximum capacity of 24,136 TEU. Currently, it is en route from Singapore to Felixstowe via the FE4 shipping route, highlighting its operational capabilities.

Prior to this latest achievement, the ONE Integrity had set a record in November 2023 by loading 21,954 TEU. ONE Innovation operates on the Premier Alliance’s Asia to Europe (FE3) service, contributing to ONE’s growing fleet of over 260 vessels, which collectively transport approximately 2 million TEU. Established in 2017 through the merger of the liner operations of “K” LINE, MOL, and NYK, ONE is now recognized as the sixth-largest container carrier globally.
