Saronic Technologies, a US manufacturer of autonomous vessels, is enhancing its collaboration with chip giant Nvidia to push forward advancements in maritime autonomy and robotics. This partnership aims to leverage both companies’ expertise in research and development to improve decision-making capabilities for vessels at sea. By utilizing Nvidia’s powerful computing resources and software tools, Saronic intends to streamline the construction, testing, and deployment of its autonomous maritime platforms.

Dino Mavrookas, co-founder and CEO of Saronic, emphasized that the integration of Saronic’s maritime expertise with Nvidia’s advanced AI and computing technology is set to create some of the world’s most capable and resilient maritime systems. This collaboration not only solidifies Saronic’s position in maritime innovation but also accelerates the delivery of next-generation autonomous vessels, aligning with the strategic needs of the maritime sector.

Saronic is already implementing Nvidia’s computing infrastructure and AI tools across its simulation and operational activities, resulting in a significant acceleration in its development cycle. Tasks that previously took days can now be completed in hours, enabling rapid iterations of its autonomy systems and the advancement of multi-agent functions. This initiative also supports broader goals outlined in the “Restoring America’s Maritime Dominance” Executive Order and the bipartisan SHIPS Act, which focus on revitalizing US shipbuilding and maritime industrial capacity through public-private partnerships.
