The Seatrade Maritime News 20Under40 initiative is officially open for nominations, seeking to honor twenty standout individuals under 40 in the global seatrade maritime industry. This year marks a significant expansion of the program, which previously focused solely on the Middle East, now inviting entries from across the entire maritime sector worldwide. The initiative aims to celebrate those who exhibit exceptional leadership, innovation, and impactful contributions to the industry.

Candidates must be under 40 as of April 4th and currently hold a position in the maritime industry. Key criteria for nomination include demonstrated leadership impact, innovative problem-solving capabilities, and a track record of contributing to the industry beyond their immediate workplace. Nominees should also show a vision for the future of maritime and adhere to high ethical standards while promoting community and environmental responsibility.

The finalists for the 2025 Seatrade Maritime News 20Under40 will be unveiled during the upcoming Seatrade Maritime Logistics Middle East event, scheduled for May 6-8 in Dubai. This free-to-attend event is part of UAE Maritime Week and will gather key stakeholders from various sectors within the maritime industry. Emma Howell, Seatrade Maritime Director – Content & Digital, emphasized the importance of recognizing young talent and encouraged potential nominees to participate and inspire their peers.
