Hydromover 2.0, an all-electric light cargo transfer vessel designed by Incat Crowther for Yinson GreenTech’s marinEV, has officially launched in Singapore. This new vessel builds on the success of the prototype Hydromover 1.0, Singapore’s first fully electric cargo ship, which debuted in 2023. Hydromover 2.0 is now operational, transporting light cargo to vessels anchored in the Singapore Strait, marking a significant advancement in Singapore’s efforts to decarbonize its harbor craft fleet.

Measuring 24 meters, Hydromover 2.0 features an ultra-efficient hull design that enhances range and energy efficiency, allowing for smooth navigation in challenging conditions. With a 30-ton payload capacity across a 70m² cargo deck, the vessel is powered by a lithium-ion battery and can be fully charged in under two hours, ensuring high reliability for daily operations. Compared to its predecessor, it offers 50% more cargo capacity and a 75% larger deck space.
