Vard, a Norwegian subsidiary of the Fincantieri Group, has secured a contract valued at over $230 million (€200 million) with Ocean Infinity for the design and construction of four Multi-Purpose Robotic Vessels (MPVs). This partnership highlights Vard’s commitment to delivering advanced maritime solutions.

The contract includes a comprehensive supply from Vard Electro, which will provide the complete suite of SeaQ systems for remote operations. Additionally, Vard Interiors will focus on creating innovative and energy-efficient interior solutions to enhance crew comfort and operational efficiency.

Seaonics will contribute by supplying the Launch and Recovery System (LARS), which is essential for the effective handling of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and geotechnical units.

Delivery of the first two vessels is expected from Vard’s Norwegian shipyards in the first and second quarters of 2028, while the remaining two will be constructed at Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam, with a scheduled delivery in the third and fourth quarters of 2028.
