Photographers have until October 12 to enter the Pantaenius Yacht Racing Image Award 2025. An international jury will select the top 80 photos, which will be showcased for public voting starting October 20. The 20 best images will be displayed at Metstrade Amsterdam from November 18 to 20, with the awards ceremony scheduled for November 21 during the Yacht Racing Forum.
This year marks the third consecutive occasion the awards will be held at Metstrade. Organizer Bernard Schopfer emphasizes the unique exposure this event provides, allowing photographers to reach a discerning audience within the sailing community. Niels Klarenbeek, the show director, adds that the exhibition, alongside the Metstrade Stage and DAME Awards, bridges innovation and the beauty of sailing.
In 2024, the competition attracted 130 photographers from 31 countries. Notable winners included Samo Vidic for capturing Team US SailGP capsizing during a practice session in the Bahamas. Other winners were James Tomlinson and Michael Kurtz for their stunning captures of sailing events. Interested participants can find registration details online.
