Yanmar Announces Corporate Reorganization Creating Two Power Firms

Yanmar Holdings has announced a significant corporate reorganisation, which will see Yanmar Power Technology split into two distinct entities. The newly established Yanmar Power Technology will concentrate on industrial engines, while Yanmar Power Solutions will handle marine and industrial engines, including medium- and high-speed models, alongside standby power systems. This restructuring is set to take effect on October 1, 2025.

Masaru Hirose has been appointed as the president of Yanmar Power Solutions, while Tomohisa Tao continues as president of Yanmar Power Technology. The company aims to align its operations more closely with decarbonisation goals and market demands, enabling quicker decision-making processes. Both leaders expressed their commitment to innovation and sustainability within their respective sectors, emphasizing the importance of meeting evolving customer needs and environmental regulations.

Tao, who has held various senior roles since joining Yanmar, has been pivotal in driving the company’s strategic direction.
