Davies, who has worked on various vessels, including classic sailing yachts and during the Clipper Round the World Race, understands firsthand the difficulties of finding reliable support in unfamiliar locations.
According to Davies, being part of a yacht crew is not just a job but a lifestyle that comes with distinct pressures. Crew members often find themselves moving between countries without the necessary local knowledge or networks. Havn aims to alleviate these concerns by providing a reliable platform that connects them to vetted services related to health, fitness, and cultural activities, along with essential needs such as gyms and medical professionals.
The app also features industry news, articles, and resources like CV reviews and contract tools. Havn’s mission is to be a trusted concierge service for yacht crew, supporting their overall wellbeing, whether they are new deckhands or seasoned captains. The company plans to expand its network of partners in key Mediterranean ports, including Palma, Antibes, and Barcelona, with a broader rollout anticipated in the coming year.
A launch event for Havn is set for October 19, 2025, at the Terreno Club in Palma, Mallorca, where attendees will engage in wellbeing activities, such as ice baths and a padél tournament. The first 100 crew members to register will gain early access to the platform and offer feedback ahead of its wider release.
