Strategic Marine Pte Ltd, Mirai Ships Inc., and Ragnar Energy Solutions Pte Ltd have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to solidify their partnership in exclusive newbuilding collaborations. The collaboration brings together the expertise of Mirai Ships Inc., a renowned shipyard in Japan; Strategic Marine, known for manufacturing high-performance aluminum vessels for the offshore energy sector; and Ragnar Energy Solutions, a trusted provider of engineering, project management, and marketing support for Mirai’s projects outside Japan.
Under the MOU, the three industry leaders will work together on the design and construction of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) to support offshore wind farm operations. These vessels play a crucial role during the operation and maintenance phases of offshore wind farms, as well as supporting roles during the construction phases. The collaboration aims to cater to Japan’s growing offshore energy market by leveraging local construction expertise and cutting-edge technical solutions, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
The partnership also aligns with global NetZero targets and supports Japan’s goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030.
