Partnership to Drive Maritime Decarbonization with Innovative Fuel Solutions

Finnish fuel supply systems provider Auramarine and British clean energy solutions supplier Quadrise Plc have partnered to develop innovative solutions that support maritime decarbonization. This collaboration aims to leverage the expertise of both companies in emulsion fuels, biofuels, and fuel supply systems to create sustainable solutions. Quadrise will provide its multiphase superfine atomized residue (MSAR) and bioMSAR fuels, which are environmentally friendly alternatives to heavy fuel oil, with MSAR reportedly producing up to 9% less carbon dioxide than conventional HFO.

In this partnership, Auramarine will design and install fuel supply systems, including Quadrise’s blend-on-board technology, for the conversion of marine vessels to support the use of Quadrise fuels. The collaboration between these Finnish and British companies is expected to help Quadrise find markets for its fuel technology on a wider scale, as Auramarine’s retrofit solutions do not require dry docking, making implementation easier. The goal is to accelerate the uptake of future fuels to meet decarbonization targets in the maritime industry.

This partnership aligns with Quadrise’s strategy to work with new channel partners to decarbonize shipping and accelerate the global implementation of MSAR and bioMSAR fuel conversions.
