New bars for Icon of the seas
Royal Caribbean International has conducted extensive market research to provide guests with exactly what they enjoy most for their vacation and this research is reflected in new onboard bar offerings Icon of the seas.
The ship will feature more than 15 bars and lounges, ranging from brand new concepts to favorites from returning cruise lines.
“From brand new venues and bolder favorites to new iconic drinks on every menu, zero proof cocktails and twists to classics, there is something for everyone to make the most of their nights on Icon of the Seas.” said Linken D’Souza, vice president, food and beverage, Royal Caribbean International.
Dueling pianos
Certainly an instant hit, Dueling Pianos will make its debut Icon of the seas‘ Royal Promenade with energetic sing-along live music. A first for any Royal Caribbean ship, the bar will house a pair of baby grand pianos and talented pianists to take song requests and provide a fun, energetic atmosphere each night.
“One of the things that has consistently come up as a guest favorite in all of the research we’ve done is this dueling piano experience.” said Claudia Diaz-Gonzalez, associate vice president, product development, Royal Caribbean International. “You can’t help but just sing at the top of your lungs and watch the two singers fight.”
“We loved the idea of the piano players being interactive with the crowd and creating this lounge that really brings late night entertainment to life.”
Lou’s jazz and blues
Lou’s Jazz and Blues, a live classical and pop jazz club with a mix of New York and New Orleans jazz styles, brings a new and distinctive vibe to Central Park.


The venue will feature indoor and outdoor cafes on Deck 8 amidst hundreds of living plants giving Central Park such a unique style for a seagoing vessel.
Rye & Bean
Rye & Bean is an innovative all day bar with an evolving menu to suit different moods at different times AquaDome Quarter on deck 15.


In the mornings it will be a lively coffee bar, offering a variety of perk-up options from cappuccinos to lattes, and throughout the day it morphs into an offering of espresso cocktails and other coffee-infused libations for upscale beverage preferences.
1400 lobby bar
The centerpiece of the ship on Deck 5 will be the 1400 Lobby Bar, inspired by Icon of the seas‘ unique ship building number.
“The hull number on each ship is unique to that ship, and on the symbol of the sea that number was 1400.” said D’Souza. “1400 Lobby Bar is our tribute to all the hard working people who built this amazing, iconic shop.”


Not only will the bar offer a range of beverages, from tropical juice-based favorites to more sophisticated, elegant cocktails, it will also be the first lobby bar in the Royal Caribbean fleet to open outside with an ocean-view terrace.
Blow
Another new venue will be Bubbles, a walk-in champagne bar for glasses, bottles and a signature cocktail to-go in Central Park on Deck 8.


The bar is open throughout the day whenever guests want a bit of bubbly, with options like mimosas, prosecco, and bellinis.
The overview
The Overlook, an elevated lounge with amazing corners for breathtaking views, is sure to become another hotspot in the AquaDome district, just steps away from the popular Aquashows.


The offbeat decor still has an oceanic vibe to relax in and is designed as a great place for guests to get away but still be close to the ship’s hotspots.
Returning Favorites
Next to the new bars and lounges Icon of the seas will also host popular venues popular across the fleet. These include the Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, Boleros, Schooner Bar, Music Hall, Spotlight Karaoke and more.


All these fantastic options will be available to guests when Icon of the seas PortMiami debuts in January 2024offers 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises to some of the most popular ports of call in the Caribbean, including cruise lines private island destination CocoCay in the Bahamas.
Although Icon of the seas Being the largest cruise ship in the world and capable of welcoming up to 5,610 guests based on double occupancy and up to 7,600 passengers when all berths are occupied, every single person will be able to find a drink to enjoy to toast an incredibly iconic holiday.
