Norwegian company Scana announced Monday that its subsidiary Seasystems has signed a major contract to supply a mooring system for an FSO project off the coast of West Africa.
“This is a sizeable contract for Scana, valued at almost NOK 50 million (currently around $4.8 million),” said Scana.
Under the contract with an undisclosed customer, Seasystems will supply mooring equipment such as dual-axis chain stops and chain handling systems. Delivery is expected in the first quarter of 2024.
“Seasystems has worked systematically to develop robust and cost-effective mooring solutions, and we are now seeing good results from that work,” said Torkjell Lisland, MD at Seasystems.
