Seatrade Maritime is committed to the next generation of professionals

Seatrade Maritime Logistics Middle East, taking place May 16-18 at Dubai World Trade Centre, is now accepting nominations for their 20 Under 40 Awards initiative.

The awards recognize and celebrate the success and achievements of younger industry professionals and, in partnership with YoungShip UAE, are designed to highlight individuals who have paved the way for positive change in the industry while contributing to its sustainability and growth.

Fostering the next generation of maritime professionals has long been at the heart of the event. Chris Morley, Group Director, Seatrade Maritime said: “We are delighted to be working with YoungShip UAE to develop the 20 Under 40 program for 2023. However, recognizing and rewarding excellence is not just about the individual, it helps an entire generation of professionals. For those beginning their journey in the maritime sector, to those who see seafaring as a potential career for the future, the opportunity to see their peers celebrated and rewarded will only encourage and empower the talent of tomorrow.”

Past recipients of the 20 under 40 award include Anan Abdullatif, Senior Commercial Manager at LNG Oman Shipping Company, who commented, “It was truly an honor to be selected as the winner of the 20 under 40 initiative 2021 and under to be recognized by them a group of such remarkable men and women from across the Middle East. I am delighted to see young professionals in the maritime sector being recognized and given the opportunity to inspire others in their own pursuit of excellence.”

Eligible for nomination are all maritime professionals under the age of 40 (before May 16, 2023) whose scope of work directly impacts the maritime and shipping markets in the Middle East.
