ShoreLink has successfully delivered its Shore Power Cable Management System at the Port of La Spezia, enabling cruise vessels to connect to shore power and reduce emissions while docked. The system, following a Factory Acceptance Test, is now in storage at the port and ready for deployment. In partnership with MONT-ELE, ShoreLink’s solution aims to promote cleaner port operations and support environmental goals by offering a more sustainable approach to cruise ship stays.
The ShoreLink Cruise Cable Management System (CMS) is a specialized piece of equipment designed to facilitate the safe and efficient transfer of power from shore to ship. One of its key features is the ability to connect and disconnect cables independently, one at a time, enhancing usability and efficiency for operators. With operation requiring only one person using a remote control, the system simplifies the process of handling cables, making it easier for crews to manage.
Designed for ease of operation with minimal crew involvement, the ShoreLink system enhances flexibility and reduces the need for complex maneuvers. Compliant with the IEC 80005 standard, the system meets international shore power requirements, ensuring safety and reliability for users. By offering a user-friendly and efficient solution for connecting cruise vessels to shore power, ShoreLink’s CMS is poised to make a significant impact on reducing emissions and promoting sustainable practices in port operations.
