The aim of the program is to respond to the concerns of fishermen and promote their economic development through the implementation of various fisheries programs such as Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY). The Minister for Fisheries, Livestock and Dairy interacted with officials who are actively involved in promoting shrimp growth in the country.
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is a popular program that has opened a simple savings bank account for people who don’t have a bank account. The aim of the program is to give vulnerable classes and low-income groups access to financial services. The program was launched within two weeks to promote financial inclusion and has become a role model for many. As of May 17, 2023, there were Rs.1,97,193.68 crore in deposits in banks under this scheme, and a total of 32.73 million people had Jan Dhan accounts.
