Virgin Voyages unveil plans for special edition cruise

Virgin Voyages has announced the details of its upcoming Limitless Voyage, a once-in-a-lifetime cruise in the Caribbean created by the cruise line’s celebrity partner, Jennifer Lopez. Designed as a celebration of women, the cruise will feature more than a dozen speakers in addition to special onboard events and shore excursions.

Virgin Voyages has put the finishing touches on a special edition cruise for April called Limitless Voyage, created by Chief Entertainment and Lifestyle Officer Jennifer Lopez.

Speaker events, networking opportunities, panel discussions and other activities will focus on seven themes that are hallmarks of Limitless Voyage: Clarity, Character, Confidence, Courage, Caring, Community and Connection.

Virgin Voyages Chief Growth Officer Isis Ruiz said: “When we first announced Limitless Voyage, we knew it was going to be something special. It is inspiring to see this unique sailing come to life through our partnership with Jennifer, Limitless Labs, the amazing women who work behind the scenes of our organization and those who support us through the special program and speaker lineup. ”

Richard Branson, owner of Virgin Voyages announced in March 2022 that the line would be working with Lopez in a way that allows the superstar to influence everything from guest experience development, wellbeing and fitness to design and entertainment. She was portrayed as something of a godmother to the Virgin fleet.

The cruise, on board Scarlet Lady, was announced last month. It will sail from PortMiami on April 14 to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and Bimini in the Bahamas and spend two days at sea. The ship will return to Miami on April 19.

Pioneering speakers aboard Virgin Cruise

The name Limitless Voyage is a nod to the Limitless Labs organization Lopez founded, which focuses on empowering women through education, opportunity and access to capital. Central to the cruise’s program will be the special guest speakers, each designated by the cruise line as enablers, who will share their experiences, motivations and unique insights.

Speakers include: Beatriz Acevedo, CEO and co-founder of SUMA Wealth, a Latin American entrepreneur dedicated to creating opportunities for the voices of diverse youth; Catherine Balsam-Schwaber, Founder and CEO of Kindra, a women’s health advocate; CJ Frogozo, a communications and marketing executive and fitness coach who focuses on social and economic justice and gender issues, among other things; and Natalie Kuhn, co-CEO of The Class, a global digital wellbeing company.

Added growth officer Ruiz, “Voyage proudly celebrates women, entrepreneurship, culture and community. It will encourage all of us to be limitless, exploring each side of ourselves through the unique experiences we offer.”

The music group Bella Dose, the DJ VTech and the comedians Gina Brillon and Aida Rodriguez offer special entertainment.

Virgin Voyages also announced that the cruise will offer a Limitless package, giving guests access to fireside chats, hosted dining experiences, JLo beauty gifts, private yoga sessions, thermal suite passes and a range of exclusive Puerto Plata shore excursions with Surfing offers lessons and a guided tour through a local women’s cooperative, for example.

Virgin Voyages is currently operating Scarlet Lady And Brave ladyand has two vessels on order. Resistant lady scheduled for launch in June 2023 and Brilliant lady will follow at the end of 2023. The four ships will be identical and each accommodate 2,770 guests.
