Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering has entered into shipbuilding contracts with three domestic companies for the construction of four bulk carriers.
Ruiyi United Shipping Asset Management and Zhejiang Bank Leasing jointly ordered two vessels, Juhe Shipping and Jinhang Shipping each ordered one vessel.
The 63,550 dwt Ultramax bulkers are 199.85 meters long and 32.26 meters wide, were independently developed by Xiangyu and are more environmentally friendly and energy efficient compared to existing vessels of the same type.
Xiangyu has made impressive achievements in the bulk carrier construction market recently, the self-developed 63,500-dwt and 79,900-dwt bulk carriers have won recognition in both the domestic and world markets, Xiangyu said.
One of the owners, Ruiyi United Shipping Asset Management, is the subsidiary of the listed Century Commodity Solution, which focuses on ship asset management, investment and management.
Juhe Shipping is a unit of Juhe Intelligent Technology that provides technology solutions for the shipping industry. Jinhang Shipping is a domestic company focusing on coastal shipping services.
