A video circulating on social media has captured a moment of tension as a large yacht named Aurora collided with the docked cruise ship Allure of the Seas. The Royal Caribbean ship, one of the largest cruise ships in the world, was on a short cruise to the Bahamas when the incident occurred. Passengers onboard the cruise ship witnessed the luxury vessel approaching closer and closer in Nassau harbor before making contact with the hull of the massive 225,282 gross ton vessel.
The impact of the collision between the yacht and Allure of the Seas was accompanied by a loud thud, causing concern among passengers and crew. The yacht scraped alongside the cruise ship, with its mast hitting the protruding lifeboats. As the yacht passed by, damage to the mast and one of the radar domes was visible. A passenger was heard calling out to the crew on the yacht to inquire about their well-being.
Following the incident, the captain of the cruise ship addressed passengers, informing them of the collision and the need for an inspection before departing Nassau. Despite the delay, the ship was able to sail out to sea for the day. Allure of the Seas is expected to return to Miami on Friday, December 13th, after the unexpected encounter with the yacht in the Bahamas harbor.
