OneCare Group (OCG) has recently become a part of RightShip’s Zero Harm Innovation Partner Programme, which focuses on promoting new solutions for a zero-harm maritime industry. OCG’s main goal is to provide seafarers with the necessary mental health support, medical services, and professional development opportunities to help them thrive in their roles. They aim to empower seafarers with resources to handle the unique pressures of maritime life, ensuring their safety, health, and mental resilience.
In an industry where isolation, stress, and long working hours are prevalent, the collaboration between OCG and RightShip aims to connect product creators with shipowners and managers to prioritize the support of seafarers not just physically, but also mentally and professionally. OCG’s approach focuses on enhancing the well-being of seafarers in a meaningful way. Through the OCG Mobile App, launched in 2023, seafarers have access to mental, physical, and nutritional health resources 24/7, including counseling and psychological assistance through Mental Health Support Solutions (MHSS).
Marinos Kokkinis, Managing Director of OneCare Group, emphasized the importance of prioritizing seafarers’ well-being through their partnership with RightShip’s Zero Harm Partners Programme. They are committed to providing the necessary support, from mental health services to training, to help seafarers feel prepared and confident in their roles. Ajinkya Kadam, Head of Partnerships at RightShip, highlighted the significance of collaboration across the maritime industry to improve crew welfare and well-being outcomes. This joint effort aims to enhance seafarer welfare and create a safer and healthier maritime industry.
