Best Practices for Coordinated Oil Spill Response in the Straits of Malacca
Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia recently conducted a ground deployment exercise to enhance coordination in responding to oil spills in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. Led by Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority, the exercise simulated a vessel collision spill, testing information sharing and response planning among the three nations.
