
LNG Cargoes Diverted from Asia to Europe Amid Rising Gas Prices and Supply Disruptions
Several LNG cargoes have redirected from Asia to Europe due to higher gas prices caused by Russia’s Gazprom stopping supplies to Austria’s OMV. European gas prices surged at the Dutch TTF hub, making it more profitable to send gas to Europe. The JKM-TTF spread flipped into negative territory, prompting traders to divert LNG cargoes towards Europe.
