Mitsui OSK Lines Establishes Presence in GIFT City and Explores Tanker Construction at L&T Shipyard
According to sources, shipping companies are in talks with L&T to build an oil tanker in Kattupalli shipyard. The GIFT City is India’s first IFSC under the tax-free Special Economic Zone Act. MOL plans to open an office in GIFT City, leasing ships under foreign flags initially, with potential for Indian-made ships in the future.
