Serbia Secures Temporary License to Sell Sanctioned Oil Company NIS
Serbia has secured a three-month license from the U.S. to find a buyer for its Russian-owned oil company, NIS, amid sanctions threatening winter fuel supplies. The Russian firms Gazprom Neft and Gazprom, owning 56% of NIS, are open to transferring ownership, having submitted requests to the U.S. Treasury.
