WWII Sea Mines Removed for North Sea Wind Farm Project
Teams surveying the Nordlich project site for Germany’s largest offshore wind farm have successfully removed unexploded World War II ordnance. Located over 50 miles north of Borkum Island, the site is crucial for Vattenfall’s planned construction starting March 2025, aiming for operational status by 2028 with a total capacity of 1,610 MW.
