New Sanctions Imposed by the US on Houthi Financial Network
The U.S. Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions on companies in Hong Kong and the UAE for facilitating Iranian raw material shipments to finance Houthi attacks on shipping. The sanctions target vessels owned by Cielo Maritime Ltd and operated by Global Tech Marine Services Inc., accused of transporting Iranian goods using forged shipping documents.
